Welcome to our visual that track fast EV Charging prices in Europe, sourced directly from CPO websites and apps. We focus on Consumer prices on fast charging (over 100 kW), providing key insights and trends.

Fast EV charging prices in Europe have been on average a little bit over 0.60 €/kWh in 2024.

From April 2024, average pricing have been decreasing from 0.65 €/kWh to 0.61€/kWh.

Average Fast EV Charging prices differ greatly from country to country. United-Kingdom and Italy have the two most expensive networks on average.

Northern and Eastern Europe have the lowest average pricing with Iceland and Bulgaria being the least expensives.

France and Spain differ from the rest of the Western and Central Europe with less than 0.60 €/kWh while all Central Europe are all over it.

About the data

Note that averages are done weighted by network and not by charge point. This can alter real average encounter by EV drivers in Europe.

Fast EV charge pricing details

Networks
  • The scope of these visuals is only fast charging.
  • Fast charging is any chargers with 100 kW or more in power output.
Pricing
  • Only energy-based pricing networks
  • CPO and ad hoc pricings are considered but only the cheapest one is used
  • Only non-subscription pricing
  • “Open to all” pricing only (Tesla)
Data

Data are collected each month. The source of the data comes directly from network’s apps or websites.

Details on off-peak and peak pricing:

  • when there is no peak/off-peak pricing, numbers are the same
  • when there are more than 2 time periods, the lowest and highest pricing are considered
Simplifications
  1. Weighted average by charge point are done on: Tesla, Mer (SE), Uno-X, GOFAST
  2. Most commonly used pricings are considered for the following networks: N1, ABC, Teleport, Eldrive (LT), Acciona, Weev, TotalEnergies (BE, FR), Shell Recharge (BE, FR, NL), EVZen, LePlein
